Return & Limited Liability Policy

At Slabcoat, every slab is handled with care and inspected prior to service. Due to the nature of collectible grading slabs and coating services, the following policy applies to all orders.

Service Performance Guarantee

If a completed service does not perform substantially as described or advertised, customers may request a review within 30 days of receiving the item.

Eligible claims may include:

  • Coating failure under normal use conditions
  • Significant application defects directly caused during the service process
  • Incorrect service tier performed

If a claim is approved, Slabcoat may, at its discretion:

  • Re-perform the service, or
  • Refund the original service fee paid

Non-Returnable Items

Due to the custom and handled nature of the service, the following are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Change of mind
  • Minor cosmetic variations inherent to hand-applied finishing
  • Pre-existing scratches, cracks, scuffs, internal slab marks, or manufacturing defects
  • Damage caused after delivery
  • Wear from improper handling, storage, transport, or environmental exposure

Customers are responsible for inspecting slabs before submission.

Limited Liability

By using the service, the customer acknowledges that collectible slabs may contain pre-existing weaknesses or imperfections and that handling always carries some degree of inherent risk.

In the unlikely event that damage occurs during the service process, Slabcoat’s total liability is strictly limited to:

  • The amount paid for the specific service performed on the affected item

Slabcoat is not liable for:

  • Market value
  • Grading value
  • Sentimental value
  • Loss of resale opportunity
  • Indirect or consequential damages

Shipping & Transit

Customers are responsible for:

  • Proper packaging when sending items
  • Selecting appropriate postal insurance if desired

Slabcoat is not responsible for damage, loss, or delays caused during transit to or from the customer.
